There are all kinds of dads. Bad ones. Good ones. Great ones. Then, there's this dad. He's in his own category. Here's what this big hearted dad did, as told by his daughter, Elisa:
"I invited my dad to a wedding dress event where all the dresses were $150. The event started at 7am, but lines can form at 4am. My dad called me and said he brought a chair and is the first person outside the building already waiting. That was at 2:55am."
To me, Elisa is the luckiest girl in the world. I didn't have a good dad, so I have a special place in my heart for great dads. What her dad did literally brings tears to my eyes.
I'm about to go off on a bit of a rant here - just want to give you fair warning.
Can you imagine how much more wonderful the world would be if all dads were this great? Children absorb and learn what they experience. Often, they mimic the behavior they see around them.
If kids are raised by kind dads (and moms), then they themselves have a high likelihood of being kind too. And, they'll pass that kindness onto their kids. And, those kids will pass it onto their kids. And, so on.
Soon, the world would be bursting at the seams with kindness!!
Oh, how I'd love to live in that world.
Your Turn . . .
What did you think about this story? Who is the kindest person you know?
That’s my kind of Dad
